How do I enable Close/Back buttons?
To enable the Close/Back buttons, you need to go to the Edit Experience page and enable Show close icon on stops control on the Basic setup card. By default, this control is disabled.
After Show close icon control is enabled, icon will appear on the page.
Tip: This does not apply to stops within and interactive map experience - these stops will have a close button by default. To edit the styling of these, go to the interactive map.
How to access pages with Back buttons?
The difference between the Close and Back buttons is that the Back button shows for pages, that are hidden from the experience list.
To hide the page you have to go to the Edit Stop page and disable the Show on Experience page control on the Page Options card. By default, this control is enabled and all created stops are shown in the application.
After hiding the page, it disappears from the Experience but is still accessible through Learn More buttons, hotspots, and the text links inside other pages. Also, this page is accessible through Go to Page button from the CMS and via a link.
How do Close/Back buttons work?
Close button
If you use hotspots or Learn More buttons to navigate between pages, the close button will redirect you back to the page from where you left. Close buttons on pages, that were accessed through Go to Page button or a link, will also take you to the Stop List.
Back button
Back buttons will redirect you back to the page from where you left in cases of linking between experiences. For example, if I create an experience link from a masonry experience that leads me to a column experience, the back button will appear by default on the column experience and when clicked on will take be back to the masonry experience.
